The apartment provides space for 4 people to stay, plus infants.
If your group is larger than 4 and includes little ones, we're happy to discuss if we can accommodate you. We do have a folding bed (suitable for use by a child) we can set up in one of the bedrooms so 2 adults and 3 children can be accommodated.
A travel cot (suitable for children up to 2 years) is also available to use in the apartment.
LIVING / KITCHEN / DINING AREA
Eat In or Dine Out At Your Convenience
There is a fully-equipped kitchen (including a cooker, hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher) and a large family dining table (to seat 6).
A welcome pack is provided for guests on arrival. We also provide a small supply of tea, coffee, UHT milk & biscuits. A Nespresso Gran Latissima coffee machine is available for guests to use in the kitchen.
If you prefer to eat out, there's a huge selection of cafes and restaurants in Whitby and the surrounding areas. We especially recommend Pizza West (@pizzawest_whitby), located close to the apartment next to the West Cliff Car Park (advance booking is recommended).
BALCONY
Relax & Enjoy the Views
You can relax on the balcony and look to the Abbey straight ahead in the distance, or glance to the sea just to the side of the apartments and spot the sailing boats.

It's a lovely place to unwind and soak up the sun and the balcony catches the sunshine from the morning until well into the afternoon. The light is also beautiful when the sun rises and sets.

We have two comfy balcony chairs with cushions and a coffee table for guests to use on the balcony. Enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee here, or relax with a lovely glass of wine, beer or fizz!

The apartment also has bi-folding doors across the front elevation and right next to the balcony, so you can slide these across on a warm, sunny day and enjoy the wonderful weather!

FAMILY FRIENDLY
Facilities for Babies & Children
We welcome families at Scandi Scallop and we love having little people (and their parents) to stay!
We have 3 young children ourselves and wanted to make the apartment as family-friendly as possible to ensure a holiday with children is as fun, easy and relaxing as it can be for parents as well! We’ve had some really lovely feedback on this from some of our parent guests who've stayed with their children in the apartment!
We have facilities for babies and children, including a special space in the main living area with a play kitchen, toys, books and a lovely @totterandtumble play mat! A high chair is available to use, as well as children’s plates, bowls, cups & cutlery in the kitchen. We also have a @stokkebaby Tripp Trapp chair to use at the table too for slightly bigger ones! There’s a children’s table and chairs set which can be moved to the play area.
There are spaces for travel cots in the bedrooms - you can bring your own travel cot or hire ours (there’s an extra cost to cover the laundry/housekeeping for the hire option).
